Originally from Maryland, I arrived in Boston to begin a new career
in Graphic Design. Hired as Senior Artist for a commercial printer,
I
was in a supervisory position, managing a small Art Department
providing paste-up, typesetting and photography for clients.
My next promotion came when offered the Art Director of
Advertising for a national book publisher. I managed 4 direct
reports, producing artwork for new titles. This position was
terminated when the company folded its doors, launching me
into a freelance career serving Greater Boston. My experience
developed as I assisted many firms to meet their advertising.
In 2000, while freelancing at Brookstone, I was offered a full-time
position as Graphic Designer, creating packaging for retail stores.
In 2003 I accepted a new challenge with Gardeners Eden, a retail
business acquired from Williams-Sonoma. My work contributed
to the successful growth of the business over 3 years,
from 1 store to 5 stores throughout New England.
Currently I am developing my career by working in Flash and Dreamweaver,
producing animation and web page designs.
